Sorry, kind of busy day today.

Prep for the weekend, and all that. Plus, honestly, I need to take a really good look at my daily schedule, because it’s far too inefficient. I suspect that my productivity is being hampered by it.  In fact, I’m pretty sure that it has been.

…But I’ll worry about it after we get back from the trip.  Which should be the last one for a while, thank God.  This social stuff is stressful.

Trip tomorrow!

Water park at a hotel.  Kids are actually looking forward to it, too.  Although that also might be the ‘Yeah, why wouldn’t we be taking the Nintendo Switch?’ Of course, there have already been complications, starting with a rescheduled doctor’s appointment tomorrow and the way that the school kind of forgot to warn everybody that tomorrow was a half day and not the full day off the calendar says*.  But those two complications more or less canceled each other out, so yay!

I’ll have the new Chromebook, so I’ll be posting, but I’m going to a water park.  I should maybe relax a little while I’m there, hey? A radical thought, sure, but an interesting one.

Family vacation this weekend.

SCA Twelfth Night and a couple of museums. The SCA event’s at an actual hotel, which might even allow me to have a beer or two. And if the kids get bored, there’s a pool.  Every SCA event should be at a hotel, honestly.

Anyway, I’m crashing now and traveling tomorrow, so see you folks when I see you. Enjoy your extended weekend.

More tragic news.

Turns out the kids are going to be staying at Nana’s for a couple of more days.  And since my wife is going to be going down to see the eclipse after all, well; I’m going to be rattling around the house for the weekend.  By myself.  Just me, and the cat.

The horror threatens to overwhelm.

PS: There may or may not be tasty, tasty beverages consumed tomorrow, given that I don’t have a damned thing to do or go* after I steam-clean the living room carpet. Fair warning; there may be no posts.  There may be bizarre posts. I am playing this solidly by ear.

*The beer store is across the street, so no need to drive.

Had a nice little day with my wife.

We dropped off the kids, found a place to eat in Delaware, then went over to Longwood Gardens to see the fountains.  Which were, indeed, very fountainy.  Had a good time walking through the gardens, looking at the various pools and streams and whatnot, then meandered home via a surprisingly fun to drive Route 1.

So, you know, a nice little mini-vacation.  And I get to sleep in tomorrow! And then clean the house, but you can’t have everything.
