‘Liberals tired of health care compromise.’

The AP, asking on progressives’ behalf:

Isn’t it time the other guys gave a little ground on health care?

Me, answering on conservatives’ behalf:

No.

The Democrats can pass something whenever they like: they have the votes, after all.  We’re not going to pretend that they need our help.  We’re certainly not going to pretend that they want our input, either.  All they want is the ability to share the blame.

  1. Have you seen the Barney Frank video from his latest Town Hall? If Barney Frank is getting major hell, then there is something happening here maybe even the right hasn’t fully grasped.

If the GOP plays this right it might not just be a shift, it might be movement of tectonic proportions. What if, people like Frank become so abusive to their own constituents, even “safe” seats become vulnerable? Boxer, Dodd, Reid, etc. all voted out of their seats, with dozens of lesser known drones?

Actually, a viable third party would probably thrash both the GOP and the Dems right now, if there was such a beast.
