Dirty Jobs at TED.

I got sent this yesterday. It’s a discussion on the value of real work, and it’s well worth watching; I may have to start watching Dirty Jobs, or at least catch an episode when I’m somewhere that has cable.

  1. Mike Rowe is an interesting character. There have been some moments on that show when I’d have been tempted to strangle him, but he generally seems like a likable fellow. He’s certainly right about the value of work, and the tagline for the — “doing that jobs that make civilized life possible” — is dead-on.
