Heh, indeed. I’m reminded of people who are offended by the term ‘polyamory’– not for what it refers to, but because of the mixing of Greek and Latin roots (alternates: multiamory, polyfidelity).
Finrod, if it worked for meter (Horace), I reckon it oughta work for tropes! I think most words junkies are irreverent–I’d mix Farsi with Gullah in a heartbeat. ;>)
