Nothing to do with monks. The white coloring of the iPod case is derived from spider silk harvested from the heart of Cirith Ungol; hence the mark-up. That being said, I love the look of my black iPod Touch.
Don’t you put a case on them anyways? Seems silly to pay more for that…
