The Real Occupy DC.

A couple of things to take away from this video:

(For those without video access, it starts with Rudy Giuliani at the AFP summit hanging the Occupiers around Barack Obama’s neck; continues with scenes of Progressives Acting Badly by trying to interfere with the free movement of more productive members of society attending said summit; and ends with several actual residents of DC pointing out that the aforementioned progressives are also interfering with their lives, and that they would like the progressives to move out of the way so that they can get home now, please.)

…anyway, a few thoughts:

  1. Rudy Giuliani should think about going for NY-SEN. He should think about it very, very hard.
  2. Nice to see that the VRWC’s collective video expertise continues to grow. Which is, of course, an outgrowth of the Tea Party’s embrace of street activism generally.
  3. This one is kind of important: the Occupiers are going to pick the wrong person to push around at one of these things, one of these days. You’ll know when that happens when you see a viral video of a twenty-something hipster in a hoodie getting a beatdown from a guy two times his weight and three times his age.

Not that I endorse violence (seriously, not that I endorse violence). But there’s a limit to how many times the Occupiers can blithely shove seventy-eight year old women down the stairs without infuriating people, and that limit has already been passed…
