Hey! Two hours to go before the American labor movement kills off Twinkies!

5 PM deadline, EST. No deal, no Hostess foods, no Twinkies. And all the posturing in the world by the American labor movement won’t bring back the company, once it’s gone.

Hey, don’t look at me: these guys are all part of the Democratic party’s coalition.  Not my doing.

  1. I don’t know what the union is thinking. It’s not as if there are a plethora of jobs out there for displaced workers to turn to. The Twinkie brand will probably live on past a Hostess bankruptcy, but whoever buys the rights to the name will probably move production facilities to a right to work state.

    1. My money is on Grupo Bimbo, jbird. They’re well positioned, and have been expanding into the U.S.

I became convinced of unions’ suicidal nature when I stopped finding evidence that unions were trying to expand into Mexico.
