Mark Suben, Democratic district attorney for Cortland County, admits lying about being in porn.

This is a problem.

Mark Suben, the Cortland County district attorney, said today he acted in pornographic movies in the 1970s.

In a 3 p.m. news conference today, he admitted that he lied about his history to The Post-Standard and other news operations in the days before the Nov. 6 election. He was re-elected to a second term.

…And it’s not about the porn.  I don’t care about the porn.  That’s stuff that happened forty years ago.  What’s happening right now was that a guy running for office flat-out lied about his past, and is only now admitting to it after the election’s over.  Does this Suben guy think that he can actually do his job, now?  What does he think is going to happen the next time Suben’s prosecuting somebody, and Suben’s professional ethics are questioned? – Because it will come up, sure as sunrise.

Sheesh.
