If Dr. Marcus is in this film, then I have no doubt that Gary Mitchell will also be in this film as well. Some novels suggest the “little blond lab technician” that Mitchell set Kirk up with was indeed Dr. Carol Marcus.

But I honestly don’t care. I didn’t see the first movie and have no plans on seeing this one.
Star Trek was an odd movie, hated it initially because of the plot holes and logic fails ( giant ball of red matter when you only need a drop). But with time I learned to enjoy it for what is was, a simple adventure movie
