The trouble is, Howard won it for Writing Excuses, not for Schlock Mercenary.
This was the fifth year in a row that Schlock Mercenary was nominated but didn’t win. There ain’t no justice. 8(

Agreed. While “Writing Excuses” is good, and I’m thrilled for Howard, I’m not seeing why Schlock isn’t winning awards. It’s .. odd.

To be fair, Random Access Memorabilia isn’t as strong as say Longshoreman of the Apocalypse, when Girl Genius couldn’t be stopped.

I skipped the ceremony, but I see that Scalzi won for his trek fanfic. So I don’t want to see any of the usual suspects sneering about Fifty Shades of Grey ever again.
