I was hoping it was just my connection.
While I thought the idea of adding a star female protagonist because, well, no effing idea, I will admit that I’ve had a crush on Evangeline Lilly since Lost episode #1. Giving her screen time is usually a net positive. The fact that she’s somehow central to The Hobbit plot will kind of reduce my enjoyment, but it won’t completely eliminate it.
