Lou Reed, whose band the Velvet Underground became one of the most influential in rock by fusing art and music in 1960s’ New York through its collaboration with artist Andy Warhol, died on Sunday at age 71, Rolling Stone reported.

Walk On The Wild Side, Lou Reed

…Yes, I pretty much only know this song.  But it’s a really, really good song.  This is the “I am having a smoke on the porch at 2 AM on a July night and I am young and the song is softly playing on the old radio my dad had” song.  So… damn.  Rest in peace, Lou.
