I haven’t ranked my favorite music videos like I have my favorite songs and albums (No Rain is #5 on my songs list, the Blind Melon album is #9 on my album list), but if I had to pick a favorite music video of all time, this would be it. I just want someone to say to me

The death of Shannon Hoon hit me much harder than the death of Kurt Cobain; Hoon grew up one town over from me in Indiana and was about one year older than me, so there’s something about his writing that resonates with me just because of our common upbringing.
