Hey! #Obamacare hurts the poor, thanks to Medicaid. I know: shocker, huh?

Why Danielle Kimberly’s quality of life has been degraded:

As a proud new beneficiary of the Affordable Health Care Act, I’d like to report that I am doctorless. Ninety-six. Ninety-six is the number of soul crushing rejections that greeted me as I attempted to find one. It’s the number of physicians whose secretaries feigned empathy while rehearsing the “I’m so sorry” line before curtly hanging up. You see, when the rush of the formerly uninsured came knocking, doctors in my New Jersey town began closing their doors and promptly telling insurance companies that they had no room for new patients.

Why things will not get better for Ms. Kimberly:

I remain grateful for the Affordable Care Act…

No, no, NO. Also: why is she grateful for Obamacare? It hasn’t done a single thing for her!  And it won’t, because the Democrats don’t have to do anything for her!  She’ll thank them anyway! If she wants them to do something for her, then she should start saying things like I’m voting for the other guy in the next election.  They’ll listen to that, ya, you betcha.

PS: Oh, African-American propagandists should not even start on I could never vote for those awful Republicans.  Their grandparents in the Great Depression* went and joined en masse a political party that had active segregationists in it. I’m sorry that their descendants got a rotten deal out of it, but it’s not the GOP’s fault, so they can stop blaming us for it.

*By the way, and as a corrective to Ms. Kimberly’s article: dollar bills are worth more in depressions. They’re worth less when we have runaway inflation.

  1. The D’s will just say “Vote for us! We’ll pass a law to force Doctors to take Medicaid patients! We’re protecting you from BAD DOCTORS WHO ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY!”

    1. and of course this will cause private practices to close because they can’t make any money… which will cause a greater strain on hospitals… which will have to lobby for relief from the law… and special dispensations will be granted for those with the proper connections (D donors)… until the whole thing crashes hard and the push for gov run health care begins in earnest.

  2. Moe, you have counseled that we show compassion towards people like this. Your resasons were sound and I agreed with them.
    .
But this? Yeah; she enjoys the abuse too much to be salvageable. I say “fire at will.”

  3. Since at least the 70s, Democrats have been equating health insurance with medical care. The PPACA has amply demonstrated that this is false but I doubt if anyone is about to change the narrative.
