Who would not like the media to cover the anti-Christian jihadist atrocities of Boko Haram? But, Bob, that is international news over which we have no control other than bringing it into the light of day. This is a domestic issue concerning possible perjury and obstruction of justice and we might be able to demand accountability.
Everybody doesn’t do it. Most Presidents and Secretary’s of State have been smart enough not to leave their ambassadors undefended in hostile countries and so they never had to lie about the facts surrounding the ambassador’s death in an election year. Beckel lost it because it is becoming clear that this is subject that isn’t going to go away, isn’t going to disappear and will have an effect in the 2016 election should Hillary decide to run. That and for all their mockery of the subject a lot of people still take four people getting killed due to enemy action very seriously.
A question I’ve been asking recently, Catseyes, is when the last time the U.S. lost an Ambassador under similar circumstances.

What makes it even more fun is when you point out who the President was back in 79, which was the last time we lost an Ambassador to a terrorist attack.
