John Edwards, ambulance chaser. Re-chaser?

Bless his heart:

Former Sen. John Edwards came within a few electoral votes of being vice president of the United States. But now, after a loss in the 2004 election, a brief run in 2008 ended by spectacular adultery and love-child scandal, a hung jury in a multiple-felony campaign-finance case, and the death of wife Elizabeth, Edwards has returned to the occupation in which he first made his name: the practice of personal injury law.

Which is, I suppose, a nicer thing to say than my first thought, which was As a dog returneth to its vomit…

  1. Yeah, he’s one of the 9 out of 10 lawyers who give the other one a bad name…

  2. “For someone who doesn’t have anything nice to say about lawyers you certainly have plenty of them around.”

“They’re like nuclear warheads. They have theirs, so I have mine. Once you use them they f*** everything up.”

  3. Well if he decides to go after some higher ups in the VA with lawsuits, I’m not going to be complaining.

I generally don’t care for lawyers (especially ambulence chasers), but there are some times when those kinds of lawsuits are legit. My sister is still sufferring from the aftereffects of an automobile/motorcycle accident in which a drunken motorcyclist ran a stopsign and T-boned the car my sister was in, so I can see both sides of this issue.

In any event, I don’t like the choices he made earlier in his life, but that’s as far as I’m going to go on that subject.
