Ship Of Fools, Robert Plant

I barely remember what it like to be the teenaged ‘me’ who thought that this song was Deeply Significant.

PS: I actually went to see him in concert.  Shame I don’t coherently remember a damned thing that happened after we stopped for pre-concert beers at a Manhattan bar that apparently didn’t care that I was underage.

  1. When I was growing up in NY, the drinking age was 18 and the only places that consistently checked IDs were youth oriented places. A friend of mine got a job playing jazz piano at 16 in a bar that catered to factory workers for $10 a night plus drinks.

  2. Ahh, nostalgia.

Just a quick aside on Robert Plant. One of the nicest celebs I ever met. Working at Disney back in the day, this long haired dude with a baseball cap hops on my antique car and just wants to ride around for awhile and chill. It’s Robert Plant. He was taking a break from both the rides and the family. we just drove up and down the street for about 30 mins and talked soccer. Changed my whole, preconceived opinion of him.
