Moe, as someone else who has a cat, I know perfectly well that they keep to their own schedules, and can be very demanding when they want to be.
You should get the HotPursuit toy for cats, I have 8, so I have some experience in what they like. Although the wife still won’t let me get a bunch of mice for them. Still the chaos would be Epic!
