Crist campaign forced to give back illegal campaign contributions.

And here I thought Charlie Crist was a fundraising machine: “Republicans filed a complaint against Team Crist for “repeated” finance violations. After the complaint was filed, Crist & Co. refunded thousands of dollars to donors who exceeded the legal limit of $3,000.”

…Oops?

PS: Rick Scott for Governor.

PPSD: I know, I know: this deserves more attention. I am still not feeling well, sorry.

  1. Crist should do what Obama did: allow people to donate with prepaid credit cards and hope that they have the sense to make up as many false identities as needed to stay under mandatory reporting limits.

  2. No, you summed it up nicely.

However I would like to add that this must be a blow to moral over the Crist campaign. I hope that they lose sleep over this oversight, asking themselves how they could have spent that money.

      1. I think they’re shocked that they got caught and the media can’t orange-wash it away.

  3. So, was tonight’s FL Gov debate strangeness damaging? I didn’t see it as I can’t stand watching debates.

    1. I honestly don’t see how that debate, no matter how odd it got, gets anymore Democrats to turn up and vote for former Republican Crist. This race is beyond the silliness of last night, because the main focus of both campaigns (in a state where retirees and tourism is the main industry) is college tuitions. *shurg*

I have to stress that in the off chance that Crist wins he will be an automatic lame duck (two-term limit; Rick Scott will also become a lame duck), face off against a RPOF controled legislature that will be all to happy to make his life a living hell, and the rest of the statewide officers will be Republicans. No one with a brain gives a flying monkey’s butt about this race, because it does not matter. All the pundits put on a brave enough face and pretend that it matters, but it honestly doesn’t in any way whatsoever. This race is so mind numbly dull, it is not even funny.

  4. So it sounds like elections are played by Illuminati cheating rules: all cheating is legal unless you get caught, and even then all you have to do is undo the cheat. At least for Democrats.
