McDonald’s (MCD) McRib fans may have to hunt harder than usual for the popular sandwich this year.
It will only be available at participating restaurants, rather than nationwide, the company said.
“We’re letting the restaurants determine if this menu item is one their customers will enjoy,” wrote McDonald’s spokeswoman Lisa McComb in an email.
I WILL DETERMINE FOR THE RESTAURANTS. THE RESTAURANTS WILL SERVE THE MCRIB. ALL THE RESTAURANTS. ALL THE MCRIBS. UNTIL THE TIME OF SATIATION HAS BEGUN.

My weakness was KFC’s Hot Shots. I was truly bummed when they stopped making those.
The McRib .. I loathe the McRib.

That said, I do not deny anyone else the right to eat the .. things .. if they so choose, so long as I do not have to be exposed to the noxious results.

I suspect that the McRib has sold poorly in some locales, and that McDonalds is reacting – sensibly – by letting local management decide whether or not to stock it based on last year’s sales.
