If you don’t have the first Boston album, Tom Scholz remastered their first two albums a few years ago to properly get them to sound “right” on compact disc. I don’t know what he did precisely, but when I hear Boston via XM now, it sounds flat and 2-dimensional compared to the remastered album version. (He didn’t need to remaster any others because Third Stage was mastered for cd originally, and in fact was the first album to sell a million cd copies.)
If you’ve spent any time at all listening to classic rock radio, you probably already know most if not all the songs on _Boston_; it just gets played that much. For a couple decades it was the highest-selling debut album in history.

Or if you’re just in the mood for instrumental, try the new and final Pink Floyd album released last year, _The Endless River_. Eighteen tracks and all but the very last track are instrumental (if you don’t count Stephen Hawking talking on one track).
Soundtrack from “Frozen”? No?…
Steely Dan. Pretzel Logic and Aja. DO IT!
Just get the “Greatest Hits” and have done with it.
I like Steely Dan a lot, although somewhat ironically Pretzel Logic is IMO one of their weaker albums.

If you’re interested in something beyond a hits compilation, I really like Katy Lied from their early albums, and their debut Can’t Buy a Thrill has some nice stuff on it too.

Also check out Fagan’s solo album The Nightfly for an interesting mix of JFK-era optimism. Readers of a certain age may remember New Frontier and IGY in the charts.

From the current $5 CD section, Fitz and the Tantrum’s “More than Just a Dream” is quite listenable. It’s not old though. Paul Simon’s “Graceland” is also in there, but you likely already have that.
