  1. Is it just me, or does ol’ Al there look like a Russian mobster….? I freely admit to being heavily biased

    1. It would be a positive thing for the American political system if Al Gore were to finally run again – and be beaten like a red-headed stepchild. What’s positive for the American political system (in terms of fixing it) is good for America; and the world is safer when America is strong. Thus, it would be a good thing for humanity for Al Gore to have a humiliating electoral defeat.

      1. It’s a country that elected Obama.
        Twice.
Hillary is currently winning nearly all head-to-head polls against the strongest field we’ve had in years. (Despite certainly being guilty of multiple felonies.)
Within that strongest field we’ve had in years, Donald Trump would win the primaries if they were held today.

        Your assumptions are questionable.
While I agree that algore *should* get beaten like a rented mule, that was also true the first time around.
        He wasn’t.
        Hillary *should* be completely unelectable.
And a friend of Bill Ayers *should* never have been elected to dogcatcher. Much less re-elected as President after a stunning displays off incompetence.

I’d certainly like to live in that world you envision. 🙂 Is it near The Big Rock Candy Mountains?

          1. She’s an outright fascist, with more scandals than you can shake a stick at, and the personality of a harpy.
            .
She should be lucky to have support in the single digits.
            Instead, she’s competitive.
            That is worrisome.

      2. While I agree with your basic premise, I thought the same about both of Barrack Obama’s campaigns. That did not turn out so well…..

        1. I own’t say Obama was – in any way – a good president.
          .
That said, he has had several long-term positive effects:
          .
          a. The “race card” has been cut up. Seriously, when the argument is “white privilege” .. they’re done.
          .
          b. The millenials have had a taste of socialism. As with the occasional cold or flu, this has an immunizing effect and conveys long-term immunity .. just like Jimmy Carter’s presidency did.
          .
          c. Global clarity. No matter who’s in the White House, or how much said occupants bow to ’em, certain countries still hate us. That’s going to be useful to point at.
          .
So .. I view Obama as a bad case of chicken pox.

          1. I should finish the thought in a single post …
            .
Obama is a bad case of chicken pox.
            .
Hillary is human papillomavirus, or maybe toxoplasmosis gondii .. you can’t get rid of her, you might not notice you have her for a long time – meanwhile, you’re spreading her – and .. she’ll either give you cancer or drive you crazy in the end.
            .
We can, as a country, survive Obama. I’m not sure we can survive Hillary.
            .

  2. If he’s going to get in he better do it quick or one fine day the Democrats are going to wake up to having Bernie Sanders as their candidate for President. Of course that would be better than the third party Trump-Sanders National Unity Ticket, THAT gives me nightmares.
