Worth reading: “Unrealistic Expectations: The Luftwaffe’s Doomed Mission During the Battle of Britain.”

Interesting article here on the Battle of Britain (via RealClearHistory).  Short version: the RAF won not least because Nazis sucked at getting around the poor decision-making skills of its leadership, starting with Adolf Hitler and going all the way down the org chart.  In fact, totalitarian genocidal regimes largely suck at adaptation and mental flexibility, period.  Go figure…

  1. Thanks, Moe. Interesting article that pretty much states the same conclusions I’ve read many times (but doesn’t pale by reading them again).

    Appropriate considering the 15th will be the 75th anniversary of Battle of Britain Day.
