In the process of pretending that there’s nothing at all unseemly about Saturday Night Live doing an infomercial for Hillary Clinton and not reporting it to the FEC as an in-kind contribution, The Daily Beast wrote this:

It is not true. It is absolutely not. I can live with the infomercials and the way that the show creaks its way along as a mainstream entertainment wing of the ‘New’ Left of its youth*. But at least call them on it, all right? And make SNL just own it.
