State Department floats a trial balloon for cutting Israel loose.

Because that’s what State does, these days.

As the number of Israelis murdered during a streak of Palestinian terrorism continues to rise, the Obama administration sought to equate the sides and told reporters that, in its view, Israel is guilty of terrorism.

“Individuals on both sides of this divide are—have proven capable of, and in our view, are guilty of acts of terrorism,” State Department Spokesman John Kirby told reporters following questions about the spike in violence.

Note that they wouldn’t be doing this without the tacit blessing of President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry.  Kerry in particular went on to babble about increased Israeli settlements, which the Washington Free Beacon noted aren’t actually increasing. But what price objective truth when you can really put the screws to some Jews, huh?

  1. … I cannot see any way in which this would actually, you know, *backfire* on Dems.

I really wish I were being sarcastic there.

      1. I don’t have a link handy, but the “god kerfluffle”** at IIRC the 2008 Dem convention kind of ended hope for ’em.

** I don’t recall anyone else using this term .. and it could have been 2012 instead of 2008 ..

        1. 2012, LA Mayor Antonio Villa desperately tried to restore order.
That being said this will cost Democrats in the Jewish vote. Obama hadn’t let his mask slip in 2012, he has now, and all of the Democrats ( except Webb) are campaigning on Obama’s 3rd term.
Last time Democrats lost the Jewish vote was 80′ and 84′

          1. Is the Jewish vote likely to be the same size it was in ’80 and ’84?
            .
Have Dems, rather than replacing the Black (or African-American, if you prefer) bloc with the Hispanic bloc, been replacing the Jewish bloc?

  2. You know, between a second Holocaust and a Jewish conspiracy to take over the world, I’m rooting for the latter.

    1. That was always my reaction whenever I got told that the Jews secretly ran the country. I’d look around, shrug, and say “We seem to be doing well out of the deal.”

      1. What, you don’t point them at Matthew 15:27?

Meaning no offense, but according to your religion, that’s .. how it’s *supposed* to work, eh?

  3. I wonder what would happen if the Jews were disarmed today as they were before the Holocaust. I wonder if they think that would be a good idea. The left certainly does.
