Sad news. Good man…would have made a solid president.
The best political compliment I ever saw was about him; the fact checkers after the GOP debates could never find anything about what he said to even quibble with. I’ve never seen that from any other candidate ever.
Darn it. I liked him as a person.
And that is hard to say about a politician I’ve never met.

So many false stories, most of them debunked in under an hour. But the narrative was set and gleefully promoted.
I haven’t forgotten.

By all accounts, he was a good man. And the kind of man who we should want as a politician.
