Olympus Has Fallen was the one where the South Koreans hijack the White House in order to force reunification with the PRK, IIRC.

And it was still more realistic than White House Down was.
Kinda has a “President Jack Bauer” vibe to it. Also, Morgan Freeman can still do what he does.
Uh, ok. (1) I don’t actually care that much about someone going to enormous amounts of effort to kill the president. There’s a clear chain of succession, we’d get rid of him in at most 8 years anyway, and it gives a clear enemy. I care even less about other world leaders. (2) An omniskilled, danger-sensing [in a way usually only seen in Hollywood by American Indian warriors], joke cracking, personable [in private] individual as president? Thinking of our current crop of possibilities, R and D, does anyone come even vaguely close?
