…Geez. Is Mass Effect: Andromeda going to be it, this year?

I can’t think of another videogame coming out that I really feel like playing.  That’s a little weird, actually. Usually there’s at least two or three.

…Yes, by all means: tell me why I’m wrong.

  1. Red Dead Redemption 2? Crackdown 3? I’m also betting we see EITHER Respawn or Visceral’s Star Wars action game. Amy Hennig from Uncharted 1-3 fame is working with Visceral. Battlefront 2 most likely, too. That’s for starters.

  2. Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the big one for me. Open world Legend of Zelda game that I can play on the big screen or on a practical handheld? YES PLEASE.

  3. Maybe Destiny 2. But I no longer have a great deal of faith in Bungie.
Bethesda is working on some secret project they’re going to surprise us with, but no idea when it’s going to release.
Blizzard is working on expanding Overwatch beyond PvP. It’s projected for the holiday season, but I wouldn’t be surprised by slippage.
(I’d say,”And that’s just the Bs!” but it’s really all I can think of.)
That said, most of the promising titles aren’t from major studios working on AAA games. Golem from Highwire comes readily to mind. (Not that I have the hardware to run it.)
    .
On the DLC front, I’m pretty sure Arkane ie going to release some for Dishonored 2. (I doubt it’ll be as good as the DLC for Dishonored. Those were truly special. IMO, they were the best DLC ever released by anyone, ever. That said,I expect it to be darned good.)
Respawn will almost certainly release some for Titanfall 2, but it’s unclear if it’ll be more than map packs.
