Tweet of the Day, AS WELL JOEL SCHUMACHER SHOULD edition.

But I have to be a better person than that.  Joel Schumacher straight-up apologized for Batman and Robin, he owned up that ego was involved, he took responsibility* for his actions. I believe that he is sincere, so I’m kind of obligated to accept his apology.  I mean, it’s not like he killed my dog, or anything.

*Well, a finger was pointed at studio executives, but I can’t argue with that.  They deserve a seat at this table, too.

  1. Well, it worked out. The Schumacher Batman kind of killed the Burton strain of Batman- which led to the Nolan version of Batman.

    1. To expand further, I really disliked pretty much all of the Burton Batmans. Too stylized. Felt less like a Batman movie and more like a Tim Burton Movie where Batman was dropped in.

  2. I never disliked the movie, and never got all the hate. It did seem played out after this, but that’s about it.

  3. I didn’t hate them.
They just made me roll my eyes.
    A lot.
    .
I was kind of disappointed that the Batgirl costume wasn’t as anatomically correct as Batman’s and Robin’s were.
Teasing the fanservice, but not delivering?
    Uncool.
