The ‘Solo’ Super Bowl TV trailer.

Welp.

Full trailer for ‘Solo’ tomorrow, the damn thing is exceedingly late, and that’s not HK-47* in the clip.  At least, it doesn’t look like HK-47. If it actually acts like HK-47 I guess I can live with it.

As for the movie itself; danged if I know. It’ll make a ton of money, that’s for certain.  Last Jedi is now at $1.32 billion worldwide and counting.  That’s a lot of benefit-of-the-doubt for the new movie to use up. But will it be any good?

*Yes, I know: thousands of years have passed in the Star Wars universe. Still. Allow a man his dreams.

  1. I… well. There is not much to say because there did not really seem to be much to the trailer.

Pretty much my only thought: “They dragged poor Woody Harrelson into this? Also, why does he look like his character from Kingpin?”

  2. Actually, if HK-47 is part of the canon, part of his story is that he was active during these years, after a few rebuilds.

Also, TLJ under-performed expectations by a long shot, so the benefit-of-the-doubt well is already running pretty low.
