Kevin Conroy to play Future Batman on CW Arrowverse thingy.

Which I should maybe watch, but I don’t have time yadda yadda. Anyway:

During The CW’s TCA panel earlier today, some major new details were revealed about the upcoming five-part “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover. For starters, Black Lightning’s involvement in the event has now been confirmed (despite the fact his adventures don’t take place in the Arrowverse) along with another major surprise.

Kevin Conroy, who played Bruce Wayne/Batman in Batman: The Animated Series and the Arkhamseries of video games, will be playing “Bruce Wayne from the future” during this event.

The guess is that it’s linked up to them doing the Kingdom Come crossover TV event, which is also cool. So this will be not necessarily the crotchety old Bruce Wayne of Batman Beyond, but it’ll be a crotchety old Bruce Wayne, at least. If you watch these shows, it’s something to look forward to.

PS: Don’t look up Kevin Conroy’s Twitter feed.

  1. Two things.
    .
First, of course…now that I have resolved to stop watching the Arrowverse shows for reasons both aesthetic and political, NOW is when they start rolling out the catnip announcements. Well, it won’t work this time. I’m done. And it doesn’t matter that I really want to see this. I just have to remember…how much crap will I have to wade through/swallow before I get the fan-service goodies? Past experience teaches me that it’s a losing game.
    .
Second…should have taken your advice about Conroy’s Twitter.
