The “ZOMG This Looks INSANE” THE GREEN KNIGHT trailer.

  1. Arthurian legend is a fertile field all to often poisoned with high-profile casting; this film avoids that obvious pitfall so there is hope.

    1. Dev Patel and Alicia Vikander aren’t unknowns, but I barely recognize any of the rest of the cast.

But to your point, I can’t think of a good Arthurian movie since Excalibur. For that matter, I’m stumped to think of one before that.

      1. Wasn’t the guy playing Arthur in a couple of the Mission Impossible movies as an evil mastermind? I am assuming that’s Arthur.

  2. IDK, it looks cool but if it’s not all about the Sacrament of Reconciliation and the Virtue of Chastity, then it has buried the story’s entire purpose. And somehow I doubt it will in fact be all about those things.

    1. Great, an informed and cogent comment (so rare to find!). Now I have to go read the original story again for the first time since 1992 in order to intelligently add to this conversation.
