09/21/21 Snippet, ETERNAL NIGHT OF THE MOON-BEASTS.

Barnstorming! On the moon!

Tobias hated the thought of wrecking the relay tower; there weren’t enough of them left as it was. The emergency supplies were lasting longer than anybody on the moon had hoped for, but it was going on two months now and the emergency wasn’t ending. Losing any tech hurt.

“So does losing the mine,” Tobias muttered as he drifted the hopper through the canyons leading up to the tower. He was flying as low as he could, and considerably lower than he used to dare. So far, there was no sign of… what had attacked him. Either on the ground, or inside his head.

Not that he was alone with his thoughts. Asenath was in his head, but that was fine. He valued her company. I have finished analyzing the data you collected about your attacker. Are you sure you do not want a description?

“Yes,” said Tobias, in lieu of admitting to her that he was ready to vomit at even the thought of truly perceiving the thing now infesting the Jetshaft mine.
