  1. This is really a bit of a nit, but your use of “over and out” *bugs* me.
    – First, because “over” means “it’s your turn to talk now” and “out” means “this conversation is done now”. Using them both at the same time is, at best, deliberately disrespectful. Second because there is no need or expectation for a response to “out”. If one person says “out” and the other person responds to it, they are in notable disagreement. Finally, if you’re going to end the last statement with “out”, then everyone involved int eh conversation should have been ending each of their previous statements with “over”.

    It *is* your story, not mine. You can do what you will with it. Its just that this usage kind of grates on those (relatively few by now, i suppose) who’ve actually had reason to learn the proper way.
