I love the art scheme for that.
Me… I cringe at what feels like the sheer inevitability of it. You are a program. The computer you’re in is in the process of crashing. That’s not something you’re going to recover from. It feels like it would almost *have* to wind up with Mork Borg levels of horrible inescapable doom. I much prefer those post-apocalyptic worlds where “and then we try to rebuild” is built in… and I just can’t see a way to justify that given the fiction.
I mean… maybe they’d ignore that part. Maybe they’ll ignore the entire idea that there *is* an outside world that their mainframe is in as anything other than a vague framing device… but I kind of hate that idea too.
