I’m not sure ELEMENTAL is a Pixar film, though. It doesn’t LOOK particularly emotionally manipulative. Well, maybe that’ll show up later in the film.

You can’t see it? It’s obviously setting up for a “Fire and water want to be together but can’t” teenage forbidden love story… where the “forbidden” in this case is at least partially a matter of the local physics.
