…F*ck.

I don’t want to get Paramount+.

I need to think about what to do, here. Piracy is out, obviously. Maybe I can wait until the second season is out on DVD? Because, realistically, it’ll be cheaper in the long run.

  1. I intend to grab Paramount+ through Amazon for a month or two to watch that and the next season of Lower Decks and then cancel, again. Worked last time.

    1. Moe’s an Amazon Ambassador or whatever they’re called .. this option may work well for him.

It’s also the option we’ve opted for.. and it does have a catch. Amazon will restrict access to Paramount content on some devices .. and can be finicky about device HDMI versions as well.

Ok, you uttered the expected shibboleths

Can we now consider un-monetized viewing opportunities? Because personally, I’ve come to peace with watching ( and listening, and reading) what I want when I want however I can, and making appropriate donations to libraries and such if I had to creatively adjust the availability for an item my local branch didn’t get in yet.

  3. I got a seven day free trial to watch Dungeons and Dragons. I went to cancel it, and they gave me two extra months. So, if you haven’t taken advantage of their free trial offer, you might be able to do the same thing I did. It would give you plenty of time to watch the show.

  4. If you are willing to wait a bit, it should eventually come out on DVD/BluRay. I got the first season of Halo on DVD and the Amazon originals (Reacher and Jack Ryan) are coming out now. But I still haven’t seen some of the Netflix originals yet.
Typically, I get the soundtracks to go with them too, but I haven’t noticed the soundtracks coming out yet and I’ve looked. The Halo series soundtrack sounds like it would be awesome so I’m hoping it will eventually come out. In order to bypass my disappointment not getting the TV series soundtrack, I of course got the soundtracks for the games. Those soundtracks are turning out to be another avenue to buy as I’ve gotten all the Assassin’s Creed games, now Halo games, Witcher (of course), you hooked me up with Mass Effect (Thank You!), and Elder Scrolls.
Anyway, moral of the story is if you are willing to wait for it, you don’t have to get the subscription.

    1. From what I’ve heard about the Halo TV series, you may want some kind of beverage on hand to color your perceptions.
