My SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE mini-review.

Short version: Nicccccccce.

Slightly longer version: oh, wow, but was this a beautiful movie. I’m going to at some point go through SPIDER-MAN: ACROSS THE SPIDER-VERSE virtually frame-by-frame to see all the cool stuff they put in there. Gorgeous artwork, engaging voice actors/chaaracters, and a script that is deep, deep, deep into Spider-Man*; it’s well worth your time. Fun for the whole family, and I mean that literally.

*Also, technically part of the MCU, but only those parts that Sony can reference. Which they do, gleefully, and with no apologies whatsoever. You don’t see many movies that are this secure in themselves.

  1. I look forward to seeing it, but I’m probably going to have to wait for streaming for reasons related to making at least a half-dozen, unplanned vet visits so far this year.

But I am looking forward to watching it. Eventually.

  2. My children will want to rent it from the library, so I might see it by Christmas.
