DC Studios is moving forward with its Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow movie with screenwriter Ana Nogueira. She was actually previously hired to write a Supergirl movie back in 2022 when Warner Bros. was developing the project as a spinoff of The Flash, with Sasha Calle in the lead role. This will be a completely different project, though, with a whole new take on the character.
…because the take is from SUPERGIRL: WOMAN OF TOMORROW, and I genuinely liked that comic*. It’s kind of Western, kind of Raygun Nouveau, and if they get the visual aesthetic right, then that’s good enough for me. This was one of the prettiest comic series I’ve read recently, and I want to see it on the big screen because I deserve to have pretty things. The rest of you are just going to have to come along for the ride.
*I even bought it in paperback!
