If you are in its path, don’t play games with the weather. Stay dry, stay sane, and above all: stay safe. This one looks like it’s going to go up along the Georgia / Mississippi border instead of along the coast, so keep an eye on the updates. And remember: stuff can be replaced, but nobody’s giving out extra lives.

I’ve had many people knock on my door offering not extra lives but eternal life. Shall I send you a pamphlet?
Yeah, not in Florida this week… so far Helene has been veering back and forth between segments of the family.. looks like everyone gets a bad week but most will be fine.

Just saw confirmation the Tallahassee Waffle House is *CLOSED*. IYKYK: It’s gonna be a doozy.
Eh. I’m in the path, but it likely will be on the weak side of tropical depression or break up before it ever gets here.
Good luck to those of you living closer to the Gulf Coast than the Great Lakes.
So…
Power outages across Indiana. The one we’ve been under for a couple hours isn’t going to be fixed soon.
But it’s a nice temperature out. We might have gotten enough rain to break the drought. And I haz candles.
