Alas, ‘Timmy and the Bad Place’ just didn’t gel, last month. Such is life. Welp, there’s always next Christmas.

I am not to proud to say
I don’t get it
That may be why it’s not gelling. I need to approach things like this from a place of love, and I just don’t love Hallmark movies.
See, you’re not in the right demographic.
What they appeal to is literally an audience who can step out of the second act of one movie and into the second act of another… and not quite realize that the characters, places, and minor plot points are totally different.
Hallmark movies are specifically cinematic comfort films for sentimental people whose memories are faded, in other words.
You might have more luck viewing this genre through that lens.. with Timmy breaking a fourth wall within the Hallmark world regularly but not breaking the actual fourth wall…
Understand for those of us who have loved ones with diagnosed dementia, it’s definitely bitter with the too-sweet too-perfect schmaltz.
