Self-Tweet Of The Day, The SCOTUSBlog Emulates Bad Company* edition.

Man, I didn’t have writing this tweet on my Bingo card for 2025:

I’m not being particularly inaccurate, either. Dude used his boutique law firm to cover gambling debts, hide gambling winnings, and keep several women in style and health insurance. Or, as Archer would put it, Victimless crimes, Mikey. …No, I suppose I am not taking this story entirely seriously. Remember, kids: don’t trash your professional career and reputation for the sake of tawdry pleasures of the flesh. Even if said pleasures are the top-shelf stuff.

  1. Amusing. No, really… because this descent into an Archerist libertine lifestyle is obviously not new …

I suspect the timing of “discovery”** has more to do with trashing a useful analytical tool than anything else… but colour me cynical.

** see also the strange timing of Gingrich’s philandering surfacing, back in the day when Certain Things Were Discussed…

p.s. as always, The Moe has my express permission to delete anything I post here…

  2. When I first read the story, my reaction was, “ I should be shocked by this”.
    But I wasn’t.
