The funny thing about ‘Apocalypse Prom’ is that I’m actually sympathetic towards the kids here. There’s an apocalypse going on! The old ways are dead! So put some damn alcohol in the punch bowl already, if only because it’ll kill some germs!

There’s something pretty parental in this …. the combination of sheltering the kids from whatever is happening… and forcing kids into the pattern (sports, careers) of their choosing.
