It’s like this. I’ve optimized the size of the digital version from 53.5 MB down to either 9 MB or 5 MB, depending on how severely I optimize it. Either looks fine on my own machine, but I’m not sure which is the better option. Anybody with an opinion?

Bigger = better
At this point, the difference between a couple of megabytes is negligible. So the cost of making it larger is insignificant.
OTOH, the benefit is also insignificant. But there are a LOT of people who go a bit nuts about resolution. (You have to have perfect vision and be sitting closer than the width of the screen to see the difference between 1080p and 4K, but don’t try telling that the zealots demanding everything be in 8K.)
If there’s no cost difference from your end, go for the higher resolution. For the people for whom it matters, they get that extra bit. And bandwidth and storage is so cheap for most of us that we wouldn’t notice the difference between the two.
