The Full, Increasingly Disturbing, Toy Story 4 trailer.

I swear to God, this franchise gets more troubling, the more you watch it.

Florence Pugh joins Black Widow movie.

I dunno, I haven’t seen her on the big screen yet.

Rising actress Florence Pugh is in talks to star opposite Scarlett Johansson in Black Widow, Marvel’s stand-alone feature on the Avengers heroine.

Cate Shortland, the Australian filmmaker perhaps best known for the Nazi drama Lore, is directing the project, which is scheduled to shoot in June in London.

Please do not reboot Sliders, NBC.

Nothing personal, John Rhys-Davies. You’re a good dude. Just… no.

At the Toronto Comicon this weekend, John Rhys-Davies has revealed to Flickering Myth that he and his Sliders co-star Jerry O’Connell are speaking with NBC about a potential revival of the 90s sci-fi series.

The sci-fi series followed a group of scientists as they discover ways to travel – or slide – into parallel universes. After getting stuck in one parallel universe and losing their way home, they have to discover how to find Earth Prime again or risk being stuck in that world for nearly 30 years before they can open a vortex again.

Movie of the Week: Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Why? Because I want to push back a little. I had a good time at Age of Ultron. Yeah, yeah, it’s not the best MCU movie, but watching the Avengers go around and group content their way through dungeons was fun. Everybody likes the individual-hero movies better, sure, but I’m down with the ensemble flicks, too.

So there.

Love, Death, and Robots seems… odd.

Just dropped on Netflix: I’ve been skimming it in lieu of doing anything useful with my evening, frankly. BFGcon was fun, but tiring. Played three games of Call of Cthulhu, and that was definitely fun itself but if I go next year I’m going to run something myself. There was a LOT of D&D, a bunch of CoC, and not very much else.

Anyway: Love, Death, and Robots seems a bit weird. Animated shows in an anthology style, but it’s on Netflix so there’s nipples and bad language words. Haven’t decided if I like it, yet.

Marvel’s What-If? series would do much to justify Disney+.

Oh wow. Big, if true.

[Slashfilm has] exclusively learned that Marvel Studios will be producing a new television series for the Disney+ streaming service based on the popular What If comic book series. The new animated show will be overseen by Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios, but the stories will not be canon in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Disney-Fox acquisition date set for 3/20/2019.

March 20, 2019. That’s the day Disney takes possession of Fox. Which means that there’s still a faint, hopeless chance that they will go with my idea for the last Avengers: Endgame Easter egg:
