So, it was a good Walk Off The Earth concert last night.

Started at 8 PM – nearly was late; had issues with finding a parking spot and then with the ticket – and went on until about 10:20 or so. They had a kid called Gabriela Bee open, who is a good kid and a good singer and who has the professional acumen to keep her song intros down below ten seconds*. That was about a half hour, and then they did a charity pitch for sponsoring kids in African communities. Simultaneously nice, and relentless.

Going to a Walk Off the Earth concert tonight!

Forgot I bought a ticket. Should be fun: I like the band and I expect that Walk Off the Earth will put on a good live show. I also assume that I will be the oldest one there, and honestly that has a certain appeal. I am now approaching the age where I can produce a certain amount of bemused cognitive dissonance in certain venues simply by showing up. If I get one confused look on somebody’s face at the site, then my work there will be done.

Besides, it’s good for the kids to be not-scared surprised every so often. Keeps the old neurons firing, and so forth. There’s been studies done, surely.
