Listening to a @BackerKit webinar at the moment.

Which in of itself is not that interesting, at least to people who are not me*; but I do want to plug BackerKit itself. I got it primarily because I wanted help getting the stuff out of the door (or into the in-boxes), and figured it was worth the cost. However: it still paid for itself, in the end. Making a profit on something that I was happily treating as a sunk cost is nothing to sneeze at.

*But it is interesting. Advertising and marketing stuff. I’ve added an actual advertising budget to the next one, so it’s of interest to me.

The Goodreads Giveaway is 10% completed!

As you might recall, I am doing a giveaway drive. If I get ten (now nine!) more physical book sales from Backerkit, I will give away five physical books on Goodreads. Exciting, yes? Link for the Backerkit store here. $10 and $30 tiers only, alas.

Also: consider signing up for my mailing list for future updates! We’ve got things coming up this fall and winter, so it’s even reasonable!

The FROZEN DREAMS store has reopened!

Now that I’ve gotten virtually all* of the Kickstarter paperback copies of FROZEN DREAMS out, I’ve gotten a look at my inventory and I think I can reasonably flog some of my existing stock. I was originally going to sell some of them at conventions, but that’s not going to happen any time soon, hey?

So, I’ve reopened the FROZEN DREAMS store. You can get the book, you can get the digital rewards, or you can get the whole shebang. There’s only twenty signed paperback books total for sale, and when they’re gone so is this reopening. If you missed it the first time, this is a great chance to catch up.

*There are a couple of people who NEED TO FILL OUT THEIR SURVEYS. But I’ve put their books aside anyway.

And so it begins: FROZEN DREAMS e-book has been sent to backers.

E-books, really: I’ve prepared FROZEN DREAMS for Kindle, Epub, and PDF. If you backed, you should be getting them in your inbox this morning. If there are problems with the books or the delivery, let me know. If you didn’t get them because you didn’t back the Kickstarter, you can still rectify that in Backerkit.

The wallpaper and map for FROZEN DREAMS is distributed.

This is a test of the system; if there are no problems with the distribution (there are always problems with the distribution), tomorrow I send out the books. Note:

  • If you have not completed your survey yet, please do it today so that I can see how that affects the system. I think that it will automatically send you your digital downloads, once it’s been locked, but I’m not sure.
  • If you have not hit up the pre-order store yet and was planning to, please do it today for the same reasons. I fully recognize that this looks like a sneaky way to get more pre-orders, but that’s actually only a beneficial side-effect of the process.

I don’t think that there are going to be very many hiccups; but if there are, let me know. This is the first time I’m doing this from this side of the Backerkit, too.

This Backerkit pre-order post got interrupted by my kid’s computer sparking.

Didn’t get to the level of an actual electrical fire, but I had to yank everything in a hurry and get the tower on the porch. Guess I no longer need worry about whether to put a new video card in there, huh? Did have to order a new computer, though. Yay.

In absolutely unrelated news: I have a Backerkit pre-order store for FROZEN DREAMS!

Pre-order Now

Gah, this morning.
