Kevin Conroy to play Future Batman on CW Arrowverse thingy.

Which I should maybe watch, but I don’t have time yadda yadda. Anyway:

During The CW’s TCA panel earlier today, some major new details were revealed about the upcoming five-part “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover. For starters, Black Lightning’s involvement in the event has now been confirmed (despite the fact his adventures don’t take place in the Arrowverse) along with another major surprise. 

Kevin Conroy, who played Bruce Wayne/Batman in Batman: The Animated Series and the Arkhamseries of video games, will be playing “Bruce Wayne from the future” during this event.

But damn if I wouldn’t watch Michael Keaton tackle this role. And don’t tell me ‘Birdman.’ From what I heard, there wasn’t nearly enough near-future geriatric ass-kicking in that flick.

Dammit, now I’m pissed that there’s not going to be a live-action Batman Beyond flick.

Ben Affleck NOT going to be Batman in 2021’s The Batman.

He’s hanging up the cowl: “Warner Bros. is dating their next rendition of Batman for June  25, 2021. This is the one that Matt Reeves has been attached to as writer and director. Ben Affleck, we hear, will not be donning the Dark Knight’s tights after playing the Caped Crusader in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad and Justice League and that’s because this movie will focus on a younger Bruce Wayne. “

Honest Trailers has views on Batman: The Animated Series.

Extremely sensible ones.  This is one of the Honest Trailers where they didn’t try real hard to nit-pick it, mostly because there isn’t that much to nit-pick.  I mean, dagnabbit: Batman: The Animated Series ruled so hard it violated the Constitution’s requirement for republican forms of government.  Sometimes you just gotta know your limitations, amirite?
