‘Costumes: the Wearable Dialog.’

That’s the title of this post by Dresden Codak webcomic author Aaron Diaz, and it’s… very readable, actually.  I’m not a graphic artist, but Diaz’s analysis of costume design, its goals, and its pitfalls was easy to follow along, and made a good deal of sense to even a non-initiate.  Quite worth looking at.

Now, if only he could manage to draw a darn comic more than once a month…

‘Dark Science.’

Apparently I’m not in a political mood yet this morning: this Dresden Codak comic still has me laughing. From a director who adapts classic books to movies without actually reading the former first:

I was hesitant to do the The Grapes of Wrath, due to its similarity to Attack of the Killer Tomatoes*, but my financier insisted on at least one Steinbeck adaptation.

The impressive thing about Dungeons & Discourse…

…examples found here and here is how accessible the concept is to people like myself: i.e., one step above pig-ignorant about philosophy. Dresden Codak in general is like that; it’d be one of my favorite webcomics if he’d just buckle down and get to work on it on a regular basis.
