QotD, Lamenting Democrats edition.

(Via Hot Air Headlines) House Democrats are not handling their recent spanking well.  They’re especially distraught over losing control of the House in such an insanely short time:

“We only had it for four years,” one senior Democrat lamented. “It took so long to get it back, and now it is all gone.”

Well, that’s what happens when politicians run as moderates and rule as liberals, Sparky.  This is also what happens when a political party lets itself be run by its liberal fringe on the legislative level and by a feckless dilettante on the executive.  And, finally, this is what happens when politicians ignore necessary business in order to pass ideological wish lists – then inform the American people that it’s all for their own good, so don’t worry their pretty little heads over it.  And what are the consequences of all of that?  The political party guilty of such behaviors gets promptly backhanded by the American people.  As we saw.

Learn or don’t learn, as you blessed well please – but do not whine about it.  It’s unbecoming.

“Who?”

Precisely I’m only bringing it up because their blogroll requires me to mock their pain.  Looks like there’s too many Crazy Left types chasing too few Establishment Democratic funding dollars; the upcoming culling should be entertaining.

PS: If these groups are looking to find a reasonably fair way to match up the aforementioned crazies and dollars, then may I suggest Thunderdome?  Well, I will anyway.

The Milkshake post now up at NTCNews.

Right, I was going to maybe write something fluffy. Sorry: had a red haze across my vision again*. Amazing how having a kid (and another one on the way) will do that to a man.

Anyway, I’d like to note that NTCNews has one of my posts up as part of their 300 Words or Less feature.  All part of their ongoing drive to actually create a Right-oriented news aggregation site, instead of just talking about it a lot…

Thomas Frank worried about the GOP drinking his milkshake*.

(Via Hot Air Headlines) There’s a part of me that enjoys articles like this one by Thomas Frank even more than I would by somebody who didn’t hate either conservatives, or the Republican Party. You see, despite Frank’s arrogant sneering at conservatives, willful refusal to see the Democrats’ own role in our current financial mess, petulant dismissal of the burgeoning right-populist movement, hasty downplaying of a set of a bunch of social issues that his side is losing anyway, and brassy mendacity over the deep ties between corporate America (particularly Wall Street) and the Democratic Party – he still has to admit that we’re starkly dangerous as a political party.

And when we have the Democrats for lunch – which we will; Thomas Frank is quite right about that – it’s not going to be because they started acting like Clintonites (read: ‘centrists’) again. It’s going to be because the Democratic party is committed to doing its level best to make the GOP look like centrists.

Thanks!
